EIA expects U.S. fossil gas manufacturing to achieve new highs in 2023After declining in 2020, the mixed manufacturing of U.S. fossil fuels (together with pure gasoline, crude oil, and coal) elevated by 2% in 2021 to 77.14 quadrillion British thermal items. Based on forecasts in our newest Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO), we count on U.S. fossil gas manufacturing to proceed rising in each 2022 and 2023, surpassing manufacturing in 2019, to achieve a brand new file in 2023.
Of the overall U.S. fossil gas manufacturing in 2021, dry pure gasoline accounted for 46%, the most important share. Crude oil accounted for 30%, coal for 15%, and pure gasoline plant liquids (NGPLs) for 9%. We count on these shares to stay comparable by 2023.

Permian Oil Output Hits Record
By Irina Slav – Jan 19, 2022Crude oil manufacturing within the Permian shale play reached a record-high final month, averaging 4.92 million bpd, the Energy Information Administration reported within the newest version of its Drilling Productivity Report.
But the highest shale play within the United States is seen boosting output even greater, to 4.996 million bpd this month and 5.076 million bpd in February, the EIA additionally mentioned. Bloomberg famous in a report on the information that this makes the Permian alone an even bigger producer than any OPEC members besides Saudi Arabia.
